It is a common myth that because cats spend 50% of their day grooming that we as cat parents don't need to assist them. Whilst this is true of some very short haired breeds most cats do require grooming to maintain healthy skin and a shiny, glossy coat. Regular grooming prevents mats forming in your cats coat. It removes excess hair, debris and dander from their coat. Which means less shedding of hair around the house and less chance of your fur baby regurgitating up a hairball.
